The Midnight Library: A Modern Favorite

The Midnight Library has found its way onto countless nightstands and book club lists, and it’s easy to see why.

The story follows Nora Seed, a woman full of regrets, who finds herself in a mysterious library between life and death. Every book on its shelves holds a different version of her life: the one where she kept swimming, the one where she stayed with the band, the one where she said yes instead of no. She can try any of them.

Without giving anything away, it’s a story about choices, regret, and what truly makes a life worth living. The chapters are short and the pace is quick, but the questions it raises linger long after the last page.

It’s a wonderful pick for a book club, because everyone will have a different “what if.”
